I remember it being a very pretty place. Maybe I need to make a return visit. Thanks for the info... I hope the powers that be in AR get their act together.Jayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08288928187563951613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5332284395116019309.post-25178898315514572702011-03-02T16:35:00.552-08:002011-03-02T16:35:00.552-08:00About 6 of us landed 50 or so fish in 2 days of ca...About 6 of us landed 50 or so fish in 2 days of camping on the Illinois River. There are some large smallies in there.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02282063783521670899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5332284395116019309.post-12270121203495738742011-03-02T16:31:41.145-08:002011-03-02T16:31:41.145-08:00The Illinois River does hold bass. The best portion begins and into lake Ten Killer - flowing from below Lake Francis. It's designated a Scenic River in Oklahoma. I have caught a decent number of bass, bream and some crappie in Arkansas. I've never been on the OK side. It's pretty rough and tumble - floatable though. Lots of algae blooms in AR - pollution from run off, construction, etc. Lots of new concrete and pavement, littering, etc.Joshhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02282063783521670899noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5332284395116019309.post-48906819877877193362011-03-02T09:02:10.168-08:002011-03-02T09:02:10.168-08:00Glad to hear something positive for the river is h...Glad to hear something positive for the river is happening.<br />Do you fish the Illinois River?
